We are looking for someone to stay in our home over the summer May- Aug. Our home sleeps 6 comfortably with a baby nursery as well if needed. We would ask that you help take light care of the home and yard while we are away. Closet and drawer space would be cleared out for you to move in. We are located 1 minute from Birmingham's best shopping area, The Summit, with every shop and restaurant you can think of! There are a handful of restaurants you can walk to from our house. The screened in porch behind the house provides a wonderful place to relax. The space contains a community dining table for 12 and an oversized comfy bench. If you want to cook out during your stay, we've got you covered! Guests are welcome to use the outdoor kitchen, which sports a new grill, a large ice chest, and a bar. The Kenmore Elite five burner natural grill has both a searing element and an extra side burner for heating sauces and sides. If you want to relax outside, take a nap or cuddle up under the cedar trees in one of our over-sized, Brazilian double hammocks. Or, take in the property from the spacious teak sectional on the front porch. The outdoor fountains and gardens contribute to the tranquility. Our onsite groundskeeper is available to help with any issues that may arise during your stay. Events: We would be happy to work with you to host your private event or gathering. The house has wonderful entertaining areas, both indoors and out. If you would like to host an event while you are staying with us, please reach out directly to discuss the details. All events must be approved in advance and may require a separate contract and additional charges, including a per guest fee, cleaning fee, insurance fee, and supplementary deposit. Pet Policy: As dog lovers, we know it can be hard to leave your four-legged friends at home, so we are happy to host guests with dogs. We allow dogs only in apartments 3, 4, and 5. No pets are allowed in apartments 1 and 2. We have added amenities – including beds – to make your stay more comfortable for both you and your pups. If you are traveling with a dog, please let us know when you book or inquire. There is a non-refundable pet fee of $20/night per dog to cover additional wear and tear and cleaning. If your plans change, you can easily add or remove pets from your reservation. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy, as it benefits us a great deal to know in advance if you are staying with pets so that we can plan for additional cleaning. If you bring a pet without notifying us, you will forfeit your deposit. Because incidents do happen and we would like to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all our guests, we have a few rules we ask guests with pets to follow: 1. Only well behaved, well traveled, house trained dogs are allowed. No other animals are allowed. 2. Keep your dogs on leash when they are outside. Do not let them roam free, keep an eye on them at all times, and please clean up after them – no one likes to step in poo. 3. No pets on the furniture. Please use a dog bed, blanket, or crate. 4. Do not leave your dogs unattended in the rental for more than an hour or two at a time. Lonely dogs in new spaces can quickly become destructive and disruptive. 5. No aggressive or loud dogs are permitted. If your pup struggles with these issues, please keep him at home. Disruptive, barking, and/or aggressive dogs will be asked to leave, and their owners will forfeit any remaining nights on their reservation without a refund. Finally, by bringing a pet on the property, you agree to assume full responsibility for your pet. If your pet causes any injury or harm to other guests or to the property, you will be 100% liable for any necessary treatment, care, or repair.

Fruit such as pairs, grapes and kiwis grow here. Also, there are plenty of hiking trails that are available. Wild life is abundant- Deer, rabbits, Ducks , Geese, Crane, Ospree, Eagles and tons of hummingbirds. In the late spring, turtles come up from the lake to lay their eggs in the BACKYARD. And the geese wander around the neighborhood with their goslings. It really is quite beautiful. However, my favorite thing about this home, are the morning sunrises over the lake. Our home is very comfortable, all one level, no steps at all, Garage parking, and Green Egg for grilling. You will find our home very well furnished with high end beds and bedding as well as a mix of antiques. Many have commented on our collection of original art as one of their favorite things about staying with us. We offer all king beds in 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom includes a huge and luxury master bath with separate soaking tub and double granite vanities. The other two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bath with separate vanity areas for each bedroom. The kitchen is HUGE. With gas cooktop as well as an island. The soaring ceiling in the entry reminds you of a gallery with original art work complimenting all walls. We are in a garden home community, however, the back deck is private with well placed evergreen trees. This is a quiet community, so if you are looking for a big party place, this is not the spot for you. But if you just want to relax in a super comfortable home, feel free to reach out to us.
